Beatriz Castañeda is originally from the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, where she takes private classes with three different teachers who influence her in her work and themes: David Birks and Carlos Vargas simultaneously and in the future with the singer and artist José Fors.

She has exhibited in important galleries in Jalisco, especially in the city of Guadalajara and on some occasions side by side with renowned artists from the country. She had an honorable mention at the II Gonzalo Villa Chávez Painting Biennial.

She currently resides and works in the City of San Miguel de Allende.
